This greetings card features my original watercolour, pen and ink illustration of a Mountain Hare in the snow.
The Mountain Hare (Lepus Timidus) – Native to the UK, living mostly on heather moorland and across the Scottish Highlands. Unlike more common Brown Hare who were introduced by the Romans, their fur changes from brown to patchy white in the winter to protect them against predators such as stoats, birds of prey, foxes and cats.
